Migrating Landscapes
Sept. 9 - Oct. 21, 2021
An installation of large format drawings by Rivera that are a hybrid construction mixing works on paper based on basic rules of linear perspective to establish space, mark making tools brought from different geographies and architectural features of the exhibition space. The idea behind these spatial drawings is to embrace hybridity and transcultural occurrences. These drawings are paired with a sound artwork by Johnson created in relationship to the drawings.
